About Us

My name is Jim Brazell. I have lived in New Mexico for most of my life, moving to Albuquerque in 1973. My passion for comic books started as a kid and was rekindled by a guy, Marty Hay, a comic collector. I started amassing comic books at a fast rate and over the years the collection grew. I and Gary Carter started the first comic convention in New Mexico in 1974. I continued to put on comic conventions in Albuquerque and around the state for another 24 years. I also co-promoted a show in El Paso, Texas in 2015 called “The Border City Comic Con”.  I opened the first comic book store in New Mexico in 1979 called Nostalgia Ltd. In 1987 I opened another store, The Comic Warehouse. Then I opened University Comic Warehouse and another shop in the Indoor Mercado in 1990. Later I helped write a quarterly magazine called “The Comic Advisor” distributed by Diamond Comics.  My wife and I still vend at comic conventions today. I sell comic books (graded and ungraded), toys, baby boomer collectibles, jewelry, steampunk, plush, Star Wars items, etc. Let me know what you are looking for as this website is only a fraction of my vast inventory. Let me help you complete your collection. I hope you find something that you like and happy collecting!
